End Of Upward Bound

Blogging was something new, since I have never done it before. In the beginning I didn't think I was going to like it, but I did. It was a fun experience letting my thoughts out in writing, and allowing others to read them. I liked many things from blogging, like being able to post a link from a website about what I'm talking about in my blog, or just posting a silly picture. I guess the one thing I do hate is that once the blog is published, it can't be deleted.

I plan to have fun and enjoy the rest of my summer. I goal is to not be home for more than a few hours a day, and spend it outside, or somewhere with friends and family. After Ubward Bound I'm planning on going to open gym for volleyball, so I can practice, then I have to go to try-outs. Around the August 6th I'm leaving to New Jersey and New York to visit family and friends and just have fun shopping. I'm going to visit the statue of Liberty and many other cool places. Before school starts I'm planning on doing some community service and volunteering, to do something, and help others that need it.

Second to last post

I love Hershey's milk chocolate with almonds, they are my favorite, specially because they have almonds. Chocolate is my favorite candy, but I don't like just any chocolate. It has to be Hershey's otherwise I might not eat it. I like the feeling of biting through a piece of chocolate, which then starts melting in my mouth.

Worst Weekend Ever!

I had paid and scheduled to take my road test Sunday, but everything went wrong. The car I was suppose to use decided to lock the drivers side door on Friday night. Saturday night I decided to get my aunts car, but I didn't know what to expect since she is really disorganize. Sunday morning I double check the documents to find out we were missing the car's registration. So I showed up to take my test anyway, the guy says I cant take it, and have to pay $30 more dollars to reschedule. I spent the whole week looking forward to that Sunday, the Sunday I would get my license, but it turned out not to be that way.

Painful

Im tired, sore, with tense muscles and a few scrapes. This week my activity was kickball. I injured my knee somehow when I was running the bases, since I'm a sprinter for the track team, I have many problems on my legs. The most difficult thing for me was going up and down the stairs. I also played flag football this week, which was fun, but painful. I had the ball, running to score a touch down when all of the sudden I feel like someone tripped me, and I fall superman style on the turf.
My bad knee and side of my stomach were burned by the turf. It was so painful. Then to take a shower it felt like someone was rubbing alcohol on my scrapes, it was horrible.

Mr.Brandsen

Mr. Brandsen is the coolest math teacher ever. I know him since my freshman year, he was my Ubward Bound teacher. He lives for math, that's probably all he thinks about. He even mentioned naming one of his kids isoceles, after the triangle, I'm still hoping that's a joke. Recently he found out about his wife having cancer, tragic news for all of us. Because we all care for him, we don't want to see him sad. I like the way he can still smile from ear to ear, and act normal around us. I hope he stays strong because we all hope for the best.

Holiday

I got up early today today, so I can study a little. I feel so tired, I just want this week to be over. Holiday weekend is almost here, I cant wait to a go home, 4th of July is this Sunday! My family and I will be going to the lake, and have a BBQ. At night I'll be heading downtown to a friend's house, since he is going to have his own show of fireworks. I'm sitting here facing my screen, thinking about all the possible things I can do for the weekend. Its a long weekend, so I don't have to go back to class until Tuesday morning. I want to be able to enjoy my weekend and not let anything get in the way of it. I might just end up going to the movies to watch the new twilight movie, "Eclipse" with some friends. That sounds fun.

LIFE

There is a time in life where things just doesn't seem to matter. Where things and ideas you believed in became worthless words. Where pushing yourself forward is all you can do; trusting or depending on someone just slows you down.
Enjoy life because you only get one chance, one opportunity. The mistakes you do leave them behind, but be wise and learn from them. Stop wasting time in people who don't appreciate you for who you are.
There is a time in life where things just doesn't seem to matter, but there are things to appreciate in life.

My mistake

As I was on face-book I saw my friend's status saying he got back his ACT score. We retook it on the same day, so I'm wondering if my score was mailed in too. I'm nervous because I feel didn't do very well my second time either. I'm just going to have to wait until I get home this weekend and see my score. I think getting on facebook this morning was a big mistake because now all I'll be thinking about the ACT score the whole week. I don't want to disappoint my parents, but whatever happens, happens.

Why use Summon?

Sometimes is hard to search for a certain subject, specially if your trying to be unique, creative and also have a good source. I Could use summon to help me narrow down my search to more scholarly papers, doing so would help me find what I need, making my writing sound better.
I could use summon to search papers or articles of previous students. I would look up papers or articles on anatomy because I like learning how the body parts work and its one of my favorite subjects. I enjoyed using summon because it was my first time, and it proved to be an interesting experience. I can't believe how many search results came up for Spider-man, I found that a little funny.

Day to Night

I'm sleepy, tired, cranky and this morning looks like night. It pouring and thundering outside, so I'm sitting here, looking at my screen with a blank expression on my face imagining how I would walk to my other classes. I don't have an umbrella so I'm pretty sure I'll get soaked, not a very fun experience, I can get really sick from walking in the rain. The lightning seems to be just above us, brightening the whole sky. Hector and Gsu are not in class yet, makes me wonder where they are, and if they were caught walking in the rain.

Life Contains the Colors of the Rainbow

Life contains the colors of the rainbow. Everyone wakes up, and open their door to a new beginning, new morning, to look at the wonderful colors outside. They inhale the air, take it in, and imagine how their day will turn out. Take a step forward so the cool breeze and morning sun hits their face ever so lightly. They will move their head side to side so the wind can gently play with their hair, like a child tickling their head. Soon enough they will close their eyes, only to see the redness, and tiny veins inside the eyelids. Letting the ears have a turn in hearing, and concentrate on the magnificent sound of life.
Life contains the colors of the rainbow; something that might seem blue to me, can seem red to someone else. That's the power of life, to take in the surroundings to make it your own.

Disconnected cell phone

My weekend was not the best, actually I wanted to leave as soon as I found out my phone was disconnected. My dad and weren't really in talking terms last week, so when i arrived home i tried to be nice, and make peace. Then all the sudden he tells me he disconnected my phone. I was shocked, mad, and many other emotions that no words describe. So I don't have phone for I don't know how long. I miss texting all the time, and talking to friends to make plans to get together. Without my phone i feel nude, like I'm missing something, plus I hate having to borrow someone else's phone.

The Oil Spill

The Oil Spill is causing animals to leave their comfort zone to be able to swim in clean water. By doing is so, many are putting themselves in danger, because their swimming with the enemy. Turtles should not swim close to sharks, but they have to to be able to get away from the dirty water. Many animals have died also. Hopefully this problem can be solved before any animals become extinct.

Studying

I' am so happy to go home tomorrow. I want to go to sleep, relax and chill with some of my friends that I haven't see in a while. This week has been fun, but very tiring. Going to sleep late, then waking up early, it's the same routine everyday. Yesterday I had to study a lot for the three tests I have today. The one that I'm struggling with is Spanish, even though I'm Hispanic, that lady is giving us very advance words. I guess she thinks we are college kids that have been taking Spanish our whole life. I just hope I pass all my tests today. I just can't wait to go home.

Forgot something

Yesterday I was at Emny's dorm because we wanted to watch a movie. We were both getting mad and frustrated at the fact that the movie was really hard to hear. We plugged in earphones to see if it would work, but it gave us the same result, just closer to the ears. Then I found some tangled speakers laying on the bed so I put them in. Emny and I are just sitting there, waiting to hear the movie, and yet nothing happens. We try again and again and again. We look around the room for another way to listen to the movie, and start giving up hope. Then we sit down again, try to make the speakers work, when suddenly Emny plugs it into the outlet, and it starts working. So we had spent ten minutes trying to figure it out; all we could do was laugh of something we forgot that was so obvious.

Sleepy

I went to sleep a little late last night, that's probably the reason why I'm so tired. Last night, a few of us got together at a friend's dorm and began playing Uno. The game lasted for awhile, and it was really fun. We were joking around and laughing out of control. Then it was 12:15 and we had to go to our own dorms to sleep. Despite the fact that I was really sleepy, I still had to read a book for my spanish class. I didn't finish because my eyes were getting droopy, so I just laid the book down and went to sleep. This in the morning, my roommate's alarm clock went off, it was a weird cricket sound, which blended in with my dreams, so I didn't want to wake up. I still feel like want more sleep.

Blogging?

Blogging has never interested me, so I've never blogged before.
